Organic food button.

Here’s an environmental pin-back button for the person in your life who loves you, and the trees, and the sky, and…

After you’re done making a love button, make some organic food to go along with the organic food pin-back button. Getting organic food doesn’t mean having to travel to some far away farmers market. Even if you live in an urban area you can still access organic food. If you are in Toronto check out Foodshare. They have a program called Good Food Box that delivers produce to over a hundred community centres, so you’re sure to find a place near you.

You can find this heart pin-back button and other environmental buttons here.

Powerlines button

Harnessing power is an amazing feat, and Canada has lots of opportunity to create electricity locally – from water at places like Niagara Falls to wind turbines to solar panels (if you live in Ontario, you may be eligible to take part in a rebate program) to nuclear power plants.

Conserve Water button

Canada has more fresh water than any other country on the planet, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t conserve water!

This environmental button tells you to "conserve water - shower together" This is a water conservation button I agree with!

Water conservation is simple – turn off the tap when you are brushing your teeth and keep a jug of water in the fridge so you don’t need to run the tap. Water from a glass jug tastes better anyways!

What other ways can you conserve water?
